We are not an insurance company, we are not your insurance agent, and we do not sell, bind, issue, or guarantee any insurance policy. Any quote, application, or policy you get comes from a licensed agent or carrier, not from Brown Coverage directly.

Eligibility & accurate information

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information about yourself when using the Service — an agent can't help you well with false information, and it can affect any coverage you eventually get.

No binding advice

Nothing on the Site, in the chat or phone assistant, or from Brown Advisory Solutions staff is legal, tax, medical, or binding insurance advice. Only a licensed agent, in the course of a specific transaction, can tell you what a plan actually covers, costs, or whether you're eligible.

The AI assistant

Our chat and phone assistants are automated software, not a person and not a licensed agent. They can answer general questions and, with your clear agreement, create a lead or book a real appointment on your behalf. Like any automated system, they can make mistakes or misunderstand you — always confirm anything important with the licensed agent who follows up, and let us know if something goes wrong.

Broker network

Agents and brokers in our network are independent businesses, not Brown Advisory Solutions employees. They keep their own professional licenses, carrier appointments, and client relationships. Brown Coverage isn't a party to, and isn't responsible for, the insurance transaction itself between you and your agent or carrier.

Acceptable use

• Don't submit false information, impersonate someone else, or use the Service to spam or abuse the system (including automated/bulk submissions).
• Don't try to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

Third-party links

The Site links to carrier and enrollment sites we don't control (for example, real-time quote tools). Once you leave our Site, that provider's own terms and privacy policy apply.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that any quote, plan, or coverage will be available, accurate, or right for you — that's determined by the carrier and your agent.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Brown Advisory Solutions isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to cover reasonable costs and damages Brown Advisory Solutions incurs from a claim arising out of your misuse of the Service or a breach of these Terms.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes & termination

We can update these Terms (we'll update the date above) and may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who violates them.
